The last shows that GH - the soap that made Luke and Laura a household name back in the 1980s - taped prior to the coronavirus shutdown are scheduled to air this week. Coming up for the week of May 18-22, the episodes will feature the romances, rivalries and scandals of heroine Brooke Logan, played by original cast member Katherine Kelly Lang! Since then, B&B has been airing themed classic episodes every week, the focus of which is typically revealed a week in advance. The CBS soap ran out of original programming in late April - leaving a major cliffhanger as Sally’s romantic rival, Flo, uncovered her plot to fake an illness in order to get back in ex-fiancé Wyatt’s good graces. So which soap operas still have original episodes left to air? And what are the ones that don't have any new shows left broadcasting every Monday through Friday? Here’s a rundown! The Bold & The Beautiful (CBS) And that means that soap fans everywhere might be able to see “their stories” return to the screen later this summer! But as long as all of those moving pieces fall into place for B&B to resume taping (fingers crossed!), then hopefully Days, GH and Y&R will too.
Of course, the proper safety precautions would have to be in place for that to happen. But there is hope that B&B will resume taping new episodes sometime in June, according to Deadline.

Unfortunately, as a result of the shutdown, daytime television is facing a programming first as new content for all four of the Daytime Emmy-winning drama series has either already aired or will run out soon. Soap operas: The Bold & The Beautiful, Days Of Our Lives, General Hospital and The Young & The Restless all tape at studios in Los Angeles, and since the state is still under stay-at-home orders, the casts and crews have not been back to work since. Like the rest of the entertainment industry, production on daytime television’s daily dramas was shut down in mid-March due to COVID-19 restrictions in California.
