In Tazza 2: Hand of God, TOP plays Dae-gil, the nephew of cardshark and swindler Go-ni (Jo Seung-woo in the first movie).

The original comic had four parts, so if the latest installment does well, we could be in for a third movie (although we might have to wait a while to see it we’ve had to wait eight years for this one).

Tazza 2: Hand of God (let’s be real, they could have called it Tazza 2: Hand of TOP) is being released next month, and we’ll get to see how well the sequel does in comparison to the first movie, Tazza: The High Rollers, which sold over 6 million tickets in 2006.īoth works are based on the card-gambling manhwa illustrated by Heo Young-man and written by Kim Se-young, which also spawned an eponymous drama series starring Jang Hyuk in 2008. The long wait for TOP ( Choi Seung-hyun) fans is nearly over. Very underrated film (by the public I mean, it won top cinematic awards in various categories).33 AugAugTazza 2: Hand of God hits theaters next month by awcoconuts Loved this movie, and I am so glad I finally watched it. You felt at the end of the movie that there could really be “honor among thieves”. The way he describes his friend to his friend’s family was amusing and touching at the same time. He acted really well in this film, adding a comical element that gave the movie yet another dimension. You couldn’t help liking him even though he was a card sharp.

He really was endearing as the talkative gambler. I should also mention the acting of Yu Hae-Jin in this film. And the world of gambling seemed very interesting to me. I had become quite attached to the characters. It was a clever movie, with a good script, good acting, good direction and when the movie ended, I sighed and felt let down, because I wanted the movie to go on and on. As a result, it’s quite touching, not unlike the choice that the (anti)hero, Cha Seung-won, makes in the movie, “An Eye for an Eye”, another movie that I thoroughly enjoyed too. Money or friendship? But the director doesn’t explore this theme in a preachy way.

This movie made me wonder about my own values. It was with chagrin that I saw him throw away half his earnings (he set it on fire) and then later, lost the bundle. His friend, badly injured, urged him to go and save himself, but Seung Woo Cho rescued his friend and did it in style. Money or friendship? It was touching that Seung Woo Cho did not turn his back on his friend. There were several themes in this movie that I felt were deep. She could have been a really nasty cold calculating woman but the actress managed to insert just enough vulnerability to make that character a complex one. I saw the character that Hye Soo Kim played with a partially sympathetic eye. Does it end up with a happy ending? Bittersweet kind of ending. You really do not know what to expect from one scene to the next. He did it with flair and he made a very interesting movie.

I really admired the way the director made this film. There are some really memorable scenes in this movie. Seung-woo Cho is perfect for this part as the happy-go-lucky gambler who doesn’t take the business too seriously, which causes him to eventually clash with Hye Soo Kim. I can’t fault the casting of this movie at all. The subplots all come together nicely, and the portrayals of the different characters are all well-done by the various actors. It covers a whole range of issues, but not in a maudlin way, which I am glad of.

He attracts the eye of a professional gambler, Hye Soo Kim, and then all kinds of intrigues and twists galore eventuate, making this a really delicious drama that will captivate your attention from beginning to end. In the process, he learns to become a sharp card player, with tricks up his sleeve, and becomes one of the best. He runs away in shame and tries to find the person who tricked him and took the money. He took his sister’s divorce money and lost it all in a game. It’s a movie about a compulsive gambler, Go-ni (Seung-woo Cho), who tries to recover the money that he lost. The woman was dressed in 30s clothes and I thought this was a period movie. I put off watching the movie for a long time because I did not like the cover.
